The Evil Eye by Abu Mazeedatil Khayr

You must have encountered it once or twice in your lifetime, but I have seen devil several times, as a manifestation of evil in people’s life. Oh Allah, I seek thy protection against the devil, the accursed! There are also Shayaateen, a numerous breed of malevolent demons that whisper in people’s minds to mislead them.

They deliberately ensnare men by crafty means, only then to abandon them to their fate. These devils constitute a force in the universe that is bent on opposing the divine will. They are of abhorrent nature, ugly in appearance with hoofed feet and terrible look, but the better known of them have names.

This book probes into the mysteries of demonic ailments and their cures, with some real life cases of exemplary healing. It discusses the negative effects of jinn affliction in human life: The phenomena of sexual dreams; inability to secure a spouse; demonic mania or total possession by the jinn; the spell of chronic illness; the evil eye; scary nightmare; the spell of marital disgust; geomancy; witchcraft and sorcery as well as the prevailing problems of demonic infertility, all of which are known to defy conventional medication.

Abu Mazeedatil Khayr clearly affirms that a Muslim faithful is not a polytheist, living in horror of a multitude of satanic forces that may overwhelm him. For above all these demons, ghosts, devils and the evil eye stands Allah, the sovereign God, whose decree is the ultimate!

Thus, the protection of a Muslim in this world, with all these scary negative forces, is guaranteed by Allah if only he follows the divine guidance brought to him by the holy prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). This is Tawheed; the faith-system called Islam. It is the only means of conquering fear, anxiety and the anguish emanating from what seem inexplicable, engendered by the devil.
