You are a human magnet; you attract into your life people, situations and circumstances that are in harmony with your dominant thoughts. • 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos- by Jordan B. Peterson

Humorous, surprising, and informative, Dr. Peterson tells us why skateboarding boys and girls must be left alone, what terrible fate awaits those who criticise too easily, and why you should always pet a cat when you meet one on the street. What does the nervous system of the lowly lobster have to tell us about standing up straight (with our shoulders back) and about success in life? Why did ancient Egyptians worship the capacity to pay careful attention as the highest of gods? What dreadful paths do people tread when they become resentful, arrogant, and vengeful? • 12 Questions-Answers With Youth- by Osman Nuri Topbas

We had a conversation with our young fellow townsmen on 17 March 2018 in our city Konya which despite being a city of history, culture, and civilization, receives its real value by being the home for one of the prominent friends of Allah and one of sultans of the spiritual world, Mawlana Jalaluddin al-Rumi.

The main subject of our conversation was about what the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) taught and how he taught it to his companions and in their personality to his entire ummah. However, as our addressees were the youth we were asked to make this conversation in the form of question and answer, considering the fact that it would yield more benefits. Consequently we took our main subject, the education system of our Prophet Muhammed, as our first question and tried to answer the other questions asked by our young brothers too. Because our time was not enough to answer all fifty questions asked by them, we dealt with the ones that had priority.

It was requested by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality that this fruitful program could be published as a booklet in order to keep it as a pleasant memory in our souls. In this way, we had the opportunity to make some reviews and additions by including some issues that we could not express during the program due to the limited time.

I hope that this humble booklet may become an opportunity for the good and I pray Allah to bestow happiness both in this world and the Hereafter upon Konya Metropolitan Municipality personnel who provided valuable contribution to the performance of this program and upon those who personally attended in our conversation or who attend it by their hearts by means of this booklet.

  • Becoming President Of Nigeria: A Citizen’s Guide- by Magnus Onyibe

The 357-page book chronicles the evolution of political leadership in Nigeria and outlines the turning points in the nation’s checkered political history. With keen eyes on the ethnic and religious sensitivities responsible for the mutual suspicion of one another by the multiple ethnic nationalities that make up the country, the author shines light on how Nigeria is practising zero-sum politics via the rotation of presidential power between the north and south, an agreement that has inadvertently been undermining the unity of the country and is responsible for the lack of real socioeconomic progress even as it is fuelling ethno-religious disharmony in Nigeria.

  • ISLAM: Spirit and Form- by Osman Nuri TOPBAS

This book aims to illuminate the spiritual radiance of Islamic worship and to clothe it in stories of the lives of the prophets and their companions and also in the lives of exemplary Sufis. In particular many references to the poetry of Rumi, Yunus Emre and other Sufis aim to bond the passion of our spiritual practice with its ritual form. The chapters on paying charity and poor-due possess great beauty. The deep analysis they afford of the economic philosophy integral in Islam, abundantly demonstrates their inherent value in our grossly material world

Readers also learn about the hardships the Prophet (s) and his companions faced, and how they eventually succeeded with Allah’s help. It is necessary then to study his life and emulate it in all manners. It is hoped that you will get a better understanding of the religion of Islam.
